Summary: This is my own recipe. Now, if you are going to can this you have to know how. I am going to tell you. You can also just fix a smaller amount and put it in jars and in the fridge.
Ingredients
- 1 pound jalapenos
- apple cider vinegar
- sugar
- pint jars
Instructions
- Chop jalapenos. Not a real fine chop, I use a food processor.
- Put the jalapenos into the pint jars. Pack them in very firmly .
- Put a pinch of sugar into each jar.
- Heat to boiling 1 cup of vinegar per 1 pint jar. If you have 4 jars full, heat 4 cups of vinegar.
- Pour vinegar over jalapenos.
- Seal jars.
Notes
If you are going to can them, you need to boil the flat lids in water for 3 minutes.
Seal jars immediately and set aside.
If you are going to just store in the refrigerator, just put the tops on jars and put in the refrigerator.
We eat this relish on just about everything. I love it on beans.
