Ingredients
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups pecans
Instructions
  1. Boil sugar ,water and other ingredients EXCEPT NUTS to soft boil stage.
  2. Remove from heat and mix in nuts
  3. Stir until well coated and mixture thickens.
  4. Drop onto waxed paper and cool.
Notes

Any other type nuts may be substituted. I use pecans because I have 6 pecan trees in my yard.

Bon Bon’s

Ingredients
  • 1/4 pound of soft butter
  • 1 1/2 boxes of powdered sugar
  • 1 can eagle brand condensed milk
  • 1 box of angel flake coconut
  • 2 cups of chopped nuts
  • 12 ounces of chocolate chips
  • 1/2 block of parafin
Instructions
  1. Mix well with mixer; butter, sugar, and milk.
  2. Add coconut and nuts.
  3. Make balls and set on a cookie sheet to harden in the fridge for at least an hour.
  4. Melt 12 ounces chocolate chips in double broiler, add 1/2 block of parafin for shine.
  5. Stir as the ingredients are melting
  6. Dip bon bon with a tooth pick into the chocolate mixture.
  7. Put on waxed paper until hardened.

Cheese Ball

Ingredients
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese-softened
  • 3 or 4 green onions-chopped fine
  • 1 jar dried beef-chopped fine
  • 1 teaspoon accent
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 to 4 cups pecans
Instructions
  1. This is a recipe that has no exact amounts…just whatever works for you.
  2. Before you mix and roll into a large or several small balls- Crush pecans
  3. Roll balls in crushed pecans , wrap in plastic wrap and store in refrigerator till ready to eat.
