<li class="instruction">Wash collard greens really well. They are usually grown in sandy soil, so will be gritty.</li>
<li class="instruction">Trim the large stems off of greens.</li>
<li class="instruction">Tear the greens into large hunks.</li>
<li class="instruction">Cut the salt pork or bacon into small chunks.</li>
<li class="instruction">Put the salt pork or bacon pieces in a large pan and cook until tender. No need for any oil, the salt pork will give off enough.</li>
<li class="instruction">After the pork is tender or the bacon is slightly browned, add greens, sugar and enough water to cover.</li>
<li class="instruction">Cover pan and cook over medium heat until the greens are tender.</li>
<li class="instruction">Stirring occasionally.</li>
<li class="instruction">They will cook way down.</li>
<li class="instruction">Taste to see if more salt is needed.</li>

<li class="instruction">Chop jalapenos. Not a real fine chop, I use a food processor.</li>
<li class="instruction">Put the jalapenos into the pint jars. Pack them in very firmly .</li>
<li class="instruction">Put a pinch of sugar into each jar.</li>
<li class="instruction">Heat to boiling 1 cup of vinegar per 1 pint jar. If you have 4 jars full, heat 4 cups of vinegar.</li>
<li class="instruction">Pour vinegar over jalapenos.</li>
<li class="instruction">Seal jars.</li>

Seal jars immediately and set aside.<br />

<p>We eat this relish on just about everything. I love it on beans.</p>

<li class="instruction">Stir dry ingredients into the peanut butter mixture in 2 additions.</li>
<li class="instruction">Stir in chopped chocolate.</li>
<li class="instruction">Cover and refrigerate until dough is firm and no longer sticky, about 30 minutes.</li>
<li class="instruction">Preheat oven to 350 degrees .</li>
<li class="instruction">Butter 2 heavy large baking sheets.</li>
<li class="instruction">With hands, roll 1 heaping tablespoonful of dough for each cookie into 1 3/4 inch diameter ball.</li>
<li class="instruction">Arrange cookies on prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 1/2 inches apart.</li>
<li class="instruction">Bake cookies until puffed, beginning to brown on top and still very soft to touch, about 12 minutes.</li>
<li class="instruction">Cool cookies on baking sheets for 5 minutes.</li>
<li class="instruction">Using metal spatula, transfer cookies to rack and cool completely.</li>

<li class="instruction">In a large mixing bowl, combine the first seven ingredients.</li>
<li class="instruction">Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; gradually beat into lemon mixture until smooth.</li>
<li class="instruction">In a small mixing bowl , beat egg whites until foamy.</li>
<li class="instruction">Add cream of tartar; beat until stiff peaks form.</li>
<li class="instruction">Gently fold into the lemon mixture.</li>
<li class="instruction">Pour into an ungreased 10 inch tube pan with removable bottom.</li>
<li class="instruction">Bake at 325 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.</li>
<li class="instruction">Immediately invert pan; cool completely.</li>
<li class="instruction">Remove cake to a serving platter.</li>
<li class="instruction">Combine glaze ingredients; drizzle over cake.</li>

<li class="instruction">Stir together the peanuts, sugar, syrup and salt in a 1 1/2 quart microwavable safe casserole pan.</li>
<li class="instruction">Microwave on High for 7 to 8 minutes, stirring after 4 minutes.</li>
<li class="instruction">Add butter and vanilla, blend well and microwave 1 to 2 minutes longer, watching carefully to make sure mixture does not burn. The peanuts will be slightly browned and the syrup extremely hot.</li>
<li class="instruction">Add baking soda, stir gently until mixture is light and foamy.</li>
<li class="instruction">Quickly pour mixture onto marble slab or lightly greased baking sheet.</li>
<li class="instruction">Cool for 1/2 hour.</li>
<li class="instruction">When cooled, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.</li>
